You will love the cozy & clean feel of our cabin. We have stainless steel appliances in the kitchen for cooking and meal preparation, a cozy living room with a wood-fired stove and panoramic windows. The view will keep you awe-inspired throughout your stay! The finishings include wood floors, hickory cabinets, granite countertops, tiled shower accents, stone fireplace and wood trim throughout the chalet. All of our beds have fresh cotton sheets with nice linen blankets, and soft high-end down-alternative pillows. All bedding is hypo-allergenic so you can rest easy. The house is 3 levels. The main floor offers the kitchen, a full bathroom, and a large living room with a wood stove and a smart TV. There are two bedrooms on this level. One with a firm king bed, and one with a medium-firm queen bed. Downstairs we have a half-bathroom and a bedroom with a bunk bed and a twin bed. The lower bunk is a full, and the upper bunk is a twin. There is also a 2nd living room with a TV and entertainment system full of DVDs, board games, and more. This is where families and friends play! The upstairs loft has a medium-firm full-sized bed and a full bathroom. It also has an even better vantage point of the mountains! The house has the highest speed internet package available in the area, but given how rural we are, it has to be satellite internet. You can stream Netflix, browse websites, check email, and more, but excessive downloading or using many devices at once may be slow. Weather can also have an impact on internet speeds. We have a snowplow service in the Diamond Peaks development as well as for the house. That said, we still advise that our guests use 4wd / awd vehicles and also come prepared with chains on tires in colder months. If you do not have the proper car, or feel uncomfortable at the bottom of the driveway, park on the street. It is a 1 minute walk up to the house. Other notes. *Up to 2 pets are allowed. Please be respectful, and take care of any messes. *Firewood is included with your rental. *We get snow in the winter, and the driveway is steep as the Diamond Peaks development is built on a hillside. **THE LOCATION** Crescent Lake is Oregon's hidden gem! We took advantage of the long-term closure by having our cleaner perform a thorough multi-day Spring cleaning. Our reviews are covered with comments about our cleanliness even before the pandemic. We have maintained those high standards and started new practices such as wiping down doorknobs, thermostats and the like. We continue to supply guests with cleaning supplies and soaps of all kinds in the kitchen and bathrooms. In warm weather you’ll enjoy playing lawn games on the expansive lawn, grilling on the patio, or swimming in the reservoir (or one of Oakridge’s many wonderful swimming holes). Bring your boat as there’s parking for it and a boat launch a quarter mile down the road (or borrow a kayak from us). Welcome to the Chalet on the river. This 1700 + square foot retreat with wrap around deck is the perfect year-around get away. Located on the Little Deschutes River, the Chalet features floor to ceiling picturesque windows with views of the back meadow, the Little Deschutes River, and Mt Bachelor. The Chalet features a peaceful master suite, king sized bed, reading nook, private bath and French doors leading to the patio with views of the meadow. The loft can accommodate up to four people with the option to be two separate areas or one large. The loft contains a queen size bed and a futon. The main level offers an inviting living area, fireplace and dining room. Chalet Layout There are 5 steps to enter the main level. The main level includes; kitchen, living room, dining room and a full bath. There are 14 steps up to the loft. The loft level includes; the queen bed, and queen sized futon. There are 14 steps to the basement. The basement level is the master bedroom with a king size bed and full bath. The washer and dryer are also on this level. Additional Information There is a street behind the house ~ 500 feet from the house with the river in between. The street does have cars on it regularly, but we do not notice it during our stay. We've had some guests notice it and others have not. . Although it is all perception, it is worth mentioning as previous guests had different views. Water Crafts/Inflatables ~ There are canoes and SUP’s at the Chalet. However, they are not for guest use. Why? Liability, invasive species permits, correct PFD sizes etc... We do not have any inflatable tubes or rafts due to maintenance of these types of items. There is a Bi-Mart and a Ace Hardware down the street that sells inflatable water toys. Many of the nearby lakes rent both motorized and non-motorized water crafts. BBQ ~ There is a propane BBQ on the deck and BBQ utensils. We do not provide beach towels. Please remember to pack yours. We do not provide condiments. There are spices and oils to cook with.

Fly fishermen come from around the world from the last two weeks in May through the first two weeks in June for the hatching of the stoneflies after which the anglers pattern their tied flies. Some sections of the river are also ideal for white water rafting, kayaking and canoeing. Smith Rock State Park: Smith Rock is considered the birthplace of modern American sports climbing; all climbers will eventually be drawn to this area to test their skills. With its sheer cliffs of tuff and basalt it is the ideal place for rock climbing of all difficult levels. Wickiup Reservoir: The best fishing spot in the state for brown trout. One of Central Oregon’s best wildlife viewing areas, which includes waterfowl, shorebirds, hoofed mammals. It is very accessible by several boat ramps throughout.

We are conveniently located far from the noisy city near the Big Deschutes River and La Pine State Park and Paulina Lake. Mt Bachelor is 24 mile and Crater Lake is 69 miles from us. We have nice cool evening where lighting up a campfire is a pleasure. For those who enjoy playing Horse shoe, we have a horseshoe pit. Parking is next to the guest house (if you have a self contained RV contact host for parking). In the guest house we have DIRECT TV as well as CromeCast for picking up Netflix, the kitchenette has a microwave, toaster, toaster oven and a hot plate. We also have a coffeemaker with Coffee, creamer, tea and hot cocoa. and for your convenience there will be fruit and Danishes. It is stocked with essentials so all you need to do is bring your food. There will be a charcoal BBQ, you bring the briquettes.

Welcome to our modern, rustic apartment located in our shop with outdoor access. Newly remolded and equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay including a kitchenette, full bath, complimentary bottle of wine, bath essentials and large bedroom with a queen bed and a futon in the living room along with a smart TV and free access to HULU with HBO! Are you returning from a nice hike or skiing?!? you can enjoy a nice soak in the cast iron tub and a complimentary bottle of wine! Please note this is a TUB ONLY and no shower. There's a kitchenette equipped with a mini fridge, new wave burner, microwave, combo coffee pot/toaster oven/griddle along with all dishes, pots and pans, cereal, coffee, wine and sometimes even Fresh homemade bread! In the summertime you can even enjoy the communal fire pit and hammocks. The apartment is located in our shop with TWO exterior doors. The bathroom is a JACK- N -JILL style with the living room and bedroom. You may hear quiet activity from the shop during daylight hours however very seldom. For example, Ray’s Food Place (2-minute drive) has both the classic sidewalk summer grill tent, and also kombucha on tap. Our home’s location is phenomenal. It's less than a 10-minute bike ride to both the mountain bike shuttle companies, and an easy ride back from the terminus of most of the popular local trails. The bike shop (Willamette Mountain Mercantile), groceries (Ray’s) and super-delicious dinner and beer (Brewers Union Local 180) are all close by, and the restaurants and shops of downtown Oakridge are a 5-minute drive away. We’re in a quiet neighborhood with lovely neighbors, so you can expect friendly waves and kids biking down the street. One note: Oakridge is on a train route, so you’ll hear a few trains go by throughout the day and night. We’ve found that if we keep a fan running in the master bedroom it doesn’t bother us personally, and in the two other bedrooms guests don’t seem to notice the trains at all. We do have a stash of earplugs available, though! Getting Around It’s easy to bike around town, and there’s a daily public bus to and from Eugene. We have plenty of parking available, too.
