Crescent Lake is located in the Deschutes National Forest and lies just east of the summit of the Cascade Mountain Range in Northern Klamath County, Oregon. The forest and lake provide various recreational activities including camping, fishing, hiking, boating, sailing, water skiing, nature viewing, swimming, horseback riding, mountain biking, and much more.

Crescent Lake is surrounded by a sandy shoreline which makes it a perfect swimming spot. The Crescent Lake Campground is open year round for campers. The campground offers tent and RV camping as well as 3 rental yurts. Yurts include a bunkbed with a double bed on the bottom and single bed on the top, a double fold out futon, a table and chairs, and a wood stove with a small amount of firewood. Crescent Lake Resort sits nearby the campground and offers food, camping, fishing supplies, boat rentals, a bar-restaurant, and a small grocery store. There is also a boat ramp located near the campround and resort.

There are also multiple hiking, biking, horseback riding, and ATV trails that surround the lake.
